Warning About Tree Topping

Picture
Published November 2018
Due to a number of trees in the Clermont area being "topped" this year, residents and property owners should be made aware that this is a practice that is highly discouraged by tree care experts. There are a number of reasons this is so, including weakened trees and premature tree death. Before hiring an arborist, please arm yourself with knowledge and do not allow your trees, which are of great value in our community, to be topped. Insist that the workers who prune your trees are certified to help ensure your trees are being cared for properly.

New Clermont Police Department Website Now Live

Published July 2018

The Clermont Police Department has a new website: clermontpolice.in.gov. The old web address (police.townofclermont.com) has been retired, as has the old town web address (townofclermont.com). The new police site will be updated more frequently than the previous version, and it will feature town ordinances and news as it relates to public safety. In addition, the site has a Frequently Asked Questions section to address typical issues that residents may have. The site is a work in progress, so if you have a question or suggested feature to add to the police website, please feel free to contact the department or the town and let us know.

It is always so enjoyable driving into Clermont and seeing the banners, flags, and in the summer the flowers, but Christmastime is extra special with your town's lovely decorations. Certainly is appreciated that Clermont takes pride in making sure the main thoroughfare always looks great—including the painting of curbs and keeping the area picked up.
